As of the end of last year, broadband coverage in populated areas had already reached an impressive 99.71 percent. Prior to the JENDELA initiative, national internet access hovered around the 90 percent mark. The current phase of the plan is laser-focused on enhancing connectivity, particularly by expanding access to 4G and strengthening the rollout of 5G technology. This strategic focus aims to ensure that even the most remote corners of the country are not left behind in the digital revolution.

The JAGO Programme: Modernizing Information Dissemination

Currently, four multi-function vehicles (MFVs) are actively engaged in nationwide outreach. Plans are underway to significantly increase this fleet to 16 units, with the objective of ensuring at least one MFV is stationed in every state. These mobile units are instrumental in delivering government initiatives, including information on targeted diesel subsidies, ATM withdrawal fee exemptions, and student book vouchers.
